I'm an artist, game designer, and educator. My work focuses on interactive storytelling grounded in specific histories and places; exploring relationships between people, land, and labor through speculative worldbuilding. My projects include Fire Underground (2019), a generative animation about Appalachian coal history, and Cinder Ridge (ongoing), a game about rewilding and forest stewardship in near-future California.
I received an MFA from Carnegie Mellon School of Art (2019), and have exhibited games and animations internationally, including at VIDEO GAMES: Design/Play/Disrupt, Victoria and Albert Museum, London; Milan Machinima Festival, Milan, Italy; Personal Structures, Venice Biennale Satellite Exhibition, Venice, Italy; Northern Spark Festival, Minneapolis, MN; UCLA Game Art Festival, Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, CA; and Power Without Extraction, Film Screening at Carnegie Museum of Art.
I have taught courses on topics around game design, 3D art, and animation at Carnegie Mellon School of Art, UCLA Design Media Art, and USC Games, among other places.
